Val with her girls

Val took over Conneely's Agility Club in 2005 when the previous trainer moved away. Val has owned dogs since 1980 but only started to do agility about 13 years ago with her 3rd dog Kassy, sadly no longer with her.

Val now owns 3 dogs, Lexie her elder of 10 years who is her reliable girl and her 2 youngsters Darcey and Elsa (the hoodies) who are 2 little sisters who are 4 years old and are both totally unreliable but are getting better, all 3 dogs are collie X's.

Val mainly competes at BAA (British Agility Association) shows due to the fact that her dogs are small Collie X's and struggle KC full height whereas at the BAA shows they come into the medium category which allows them to jump lower heights.

Lexie has done very well with the BAA and managed to reach Masters status, but now due to her age and some health issues she competes in BAA Veterans where she can jump even lower heights. Darcey has managed to gain Novice status at BAA and is the naughtiest of all the 3 dogs and she is always getting in trouble.
Elsa is in Primary at BAA and although she looks very sweet and innocent she can be a right handful as she doesn't take very well to dogs that are outside of her group so she has to be watched quite closely around other dogs. All 3 dogs would never have managed to get out of grade 1 at KC shows so Val is very grateful to the BAA shows for this.
Val enjoys her agility and running the 3L's Agility Club along with the help of Cathy. Val and Cathy often run a ring at BAA's Jumping Jacks show in Surrey and Val also does the occasional judging.
